Contract
The contracts are 3-6-9 leases with a four-month notice period.
One year contracts are possible but with a different rental price.
The ones signing the contract have to officially register themselves at City Hall as a resident (domicilie).
Deposit
The deposit is equal to three months’ rent. You pay the first month of rent when you sign the contract. This gives you time to open a deposit account with KBC or an e-depo account with the Federal government. These two are the most digital and less cumbersome compared to other banks, so we strongly prefer them.
For co-housing, we work with a deposit on our account as this gives more flexibility to change group composition.

Moving in
Even if it’s officially not allowed, you can park your car in front of the door for loading/unloading for a minimum amount of time. Try to avoid the morning and evening rush hour.
The small street next to G250 is a private street and is not our property. We only have right of way by foot or bicycle. The only cars allowed in this street are the renters/owners of the garage boxes of Pakenstraat 7.
The parking across the street in front of G250 is also private property. Don’t park your car there.
If you use the elevator to move stuff, please take care not to damage the panels, as they are extremely expensive to replace.
The entrance on the right of P9 is for use of the tenants of the garage/storage space, so don’t park your car there.
Mail boxes
We will update the mail box/doorbell with your name. Don’t do this yourself!
Utility contracts
- For internet: the apartments are connected with Proximus & Telenet. You still need to contact them to connect your apartment and/or install the modem/router.
- For water (for G246-248-250 and P9): you will need to take a contract with De Watergroup. You need to fill out this document with the current tenants
- For gas (for G246-248-250 and P9) you can choose. The VREG has a good website that compares the different providers (in Dutch only). You need to fill out a gas transfer document with the current tenant. Most renters use Luminus or Engie
- Electricity is provided through our solar panels so no need to take a contract.
